Let’s take a look first at the motherboard and CPU

Pretty box that it comes in.

No comments here aside from a nice layout with plenty of connections for expansion.

Notice the size of the Zalman heatsink. Remember that this is actually the 90mm fan not the 120mm model. This is shown on top of a Thinkpad T22 to give you an idea how big it is. It operates around 1500RPM at low speed and 2500RPM at high speed.

This motherboard fits this CPU heatsink VERY well. This is actually just resting on the CPU it hasnt been mounted yet.

In order to get the Zalmann installed I needed to remove the existing brackets. The one underneath was a little tricky since it is essentially glued/taped to the bottom of the board, with some careful prying it comes right off. You can see here the sticky side of the plate.
